It's okay to not be okay.

In case no one has told you recently... It's okay to not be okay. It's okay to rest. It's okay to say no to commitments, and it's okay to make time for sleep.

I am writing this for myself as much as I'm writing this for you.

Your adrenals are your stress headquarters. Their job is literally to keep you alive. They are the organ that drive your "fight or flight" hormones. When you do not receive enough adequate rest, they burn out.

The morning grogginess, afternoon exhaustion, irritating bright light sensitivity, chronic low back pain, sore achy hips, and/or even poor digestion (bloated, acid reflux, constipation, diarrhea, etc) - just to name a few - are signs that your adrenals may be totally tanked.

I have a slew of supplements I can recommend to help support your body, including my very own line of Primally Balanced essential oil blends, and my most recent revelation in the form of adaptogenic coffee. Unfortunately, if you're not resting, supplements aren't going to be the end all be all fix you're looking for. They can definitely support your body, but you have to put in a little work and start saying no to additional commitments, eating your meals sitting down in a rested state, and making time for sleep. Our bodies aren't meant to be in "fight or flight" 24/7 - it's not sustainable and is detrimental to your overall wellness.
